Save The WORLD! Save The TURKEY! Thinking back on old Thanksgivings past. They are all full of fond memories of family and all the good food and everyone being Thankfull! Every year, my MIL, SIL, my husband's grandma and I, we all take turns cooking Thanksgiving. This year it's NANA's! I wanted to pick a ThanksGiving memory, that stands out from all the rest, and it has to be without a doubt one the whole family still talks about! It was about 15yrs. ago, so way before my oldest daughter was born. My MIL had just pulled the Turkey out of the oven. The guys were all watching football. Christmas music was playing in the background. The women were all visiting at the dining room table. Seemed like the start of a lovely Thanksgiving meal as usual. My FIL had just finished up carving the Turkey. He had no sooner put the Turkey on the table when from the living room he could hear the yelling and shouting of what ever team was playing that had just made a touchdown. He went into the living room, leaving the Turkey all ALONE in the kitchen! Announcing that dinner was now being served, we all headed into the dining room. We were all sitting down about ready to give thanks for the wonderful meal put before us, when we all heard my FIL screaming from the kitchen. We all got up to see what was the matter. Peeking into the kitchen, when what did we see, but my In-Laws Yellow Lab Blondie feasting on the Turkey!! And boy was he one happy Dog!! We all went out that year, but we've never left the Turkey alone again! And yes he got at the Pumpkin pie too!! What is one of your most memorable Thanksgiving stories?

Great new look, and a great post idea...

I think that I'll do one next week on my blog as well. And I know just what I'm going to write about!

That reminds me of the movie "A Christmas Story". Did y'all go out for Chinese food. That is a very naughty dog ~ but the aromas must have been too much for him to handle. If I were a dog I probably would have done the same. lol The smells ~ Yum! What a great story!!!
